Now that I'm getting married,
I have a few things that I'd like to say. I
Can't begin to tell you how happy I am to
Know you'll both be with me to share my wedding day.
A simple thank you doesn't seem like enough, but
Now that I'm moving on in life, it's a good time to start.
Dad and mom, I want you to know that I love you both, and
Say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your
Understanding and caring while I was growing up is
Sincerely appreciated more than you know.
I'll take that knowledge and trust along with me
Each and every day wherever I go.

I loved growing up at the river house,
Then Rambler Drive and Westlawn, too.
Only later to learn that my soulmate
Lived only a few blocks away from me -- it's true.

I enjoyed our family vacations
At Hershey Park and Cedar Point, too.
And our trips to Hamburg to visit Michaelene,
And mom I know that meant a lot to you.

Dad, you were very strict with us
And always said "no" to most things, I guess
So I always went to mom
'Cause I knew she would give me a "yes".

Dad you worked all the time, so you weren't home a lot,
But I remember greeting you at the door.
I'd jump off the steps right into your arms,
And with only your knees, you'd lift me off the floor.

I remember the boat rides and swimming at the river,
And the Easter egg hunts we had.
We always had such a wonderful time,
And it was all because of you, mom and dad.

I'll never be able to thank you enough
For all of your help to me and my girls, too.
Especially when I was going to school-- for
I couldn't have done it without you.

And now as I marry my husband,
I'll give him a love that's strong and true.
With all I have to offer him,
Instilled in me by you.

Thank You
Mom and Dad
