How often we forget to say what's truly in our hearts,
And there'll never be a better time than today. You and mom were
Really good to us as we were growing up, and
Of course there are many things that I'd like to say.
Like to thank you for always being there and providing a happy home, and
Dedicating your life to our family.
As you and mom had such a wonderful marriage and friendship,
Now my brothers and I know just how it should be.
Dad--you and mom were great parents and gave us lots of love
Despite our efforts to give you a hard time, it's true.
Of course, with four boys it was probably expected, but
Right now I am so very proud of you.
Our mother was a great lady and wonderful mom, and
Though she can't be here in a physical way,
Her affection, her love, and her spirit
You know will live on in our hearts every day.

You both had your hands full in raising me,
And Bill, John, and Jim, too.
But you did a great job, and we had a great time,
And we all love both of you.

Do you remember when you would be on the phone,
You demanded no noise or fuss.
And of course, as usual, we didn't obey,
And a shoe would come flying at us.

Our fishing and hunting trips in Marienville
Are memories that I'll cherish for life.
And because of all of those wonderful memories,
I hope to start new ones for me and my wife.

You've done a lot to keep our traditions alive,
Like having Thanksgiving dinner each year.
And the cards that you send us mean so very much.
They remind us that you're always near.

Your Indian motorcycle was your pride and joy
That was something easy to see.
Maybe there is a connection for my interest, too,
And why my Harley is important to me.

Remember how many kids we had at our house?
The place was always full.
As a matter of fact, we had so many at one time,
That we had shifts at the swimming pool.

The help and support you've given to me and my girls
Both today and all through the years, too.
Is appreciated more than words can say,
And we say thanks for all that you do.

Now I'm starting a new chapter in life,
With Bridgette and her two daughters, it's true.
And they already love their "little pap",
And we all look up to you.

So, now as our two families come together,
We thought about it and we have a hunch.
Instead of just being a family,
We'll be known as the "Ladie Bunch".

Thank You
Mom and Dad
